Greco Named All-BIG EAST in Women's Tennis

Senior women's tennis player Lauren Greco (Oakmont, Pa./Shady Side Academy) was named All-BIG EAST on Thursday by the conference office. She is just the second player to earn All-BIG EAST honors under Georgetown Head Coach Gordie Ernst.

The fifth-seeded Georgetown University women's tennis team (16-6) dropped a tough 4-3 decision to the No. 4 DePaul University Blue Demons in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament in Tampa, Fla., on Friday afternoon. The Blue & Gray tied it at three in singles play, but couldn't pull out the victory.

The No. 5 seed Georgetown University women's tennis team (16-5) toppled the No. 12 seed Seton Hall University Pirates, 4-0, in the first round of the BIG EAST Women's Tennis Championship on Thursday in Tampa, Fla. The Hoyas will move on to play No. 4 seed DePaul University Friday at noon at the Varsity Courts.

Women's Tennis Blanks Villanova in Final Home Contest

The Georgetown University women's tennis team finished off a strong regular season campaign with a 7-0 win over the Villanova University Wildcats on Saturday at the McDonough Outdoor Tennis Complex. The Hoyas have won eight-consecutive matches and nine of their last ten to finish the regular season with a mark of 15-5 overall and 5-2 in BIG EAST Conference play.
