Women's Basketball on the Big Ten Network

Hello from West Lafayette, Ind.!  This is going to be a short one since we leave for the game in 40 minutes but here is a quick update from the BTI Classic hosted by Purdue University. Georgetown will play No. RV/23 Purdue this afternoon at 4 p.m. ET and it will be shown on the Big Ten Network.  This is channel 610 on DirecTV so tune in to check out the Hoyas go up against their first ranked opponent of the season.

Some other quick tidbits from the road, look for a full recap of the trip in my blog on Monday.

- Georgetown is 2-2 overall but 1-1 in the BTI Classic with a loss to a tough Dayton squad but a win over Seattle

- Jaleesa Butler had a double-double in the loss to Dayton

-Sugar Rodgers led the Hoyas in scoring in the win over Seattle, this is the third time she has led the Blue & Gray in four games played

- GU led by as much as 26 in the Seattle game, but gave up the lead late.  Look for the young Hoyas to improve on situational play throughout the year.  They have shown a lot of talent but for young teams sometimes the hardest thing to teach is how to play to the situation in the game

- This is Georgetown's fifth road game, they have one more away from McDonough before the home opener on Nov. 28

-The BIG EAST went 7-0 on Saturday, the conference (although the largest in the nation) is the only conference in the country with no team posting a losing record at the moment.  Eight conference schools are undefeated and the league is 39-10 overall this year (note courtesy of Mike Coyne at the BIG EAST, I'm enjoying lovely West Lafayette, Ind. I can't spend my days looking up these obscure facts!)

I have to finish getting ready to head over to Mackey Arena, but be sure to tune in to watch the BIG EAST/Big Ten battle!  Go Hoyas!
