Hope everyone had a really nice Thanksgiving and got to spend the holiday with people they care about. Turkey Day consisted of sleeping in, eating good food and watching a Bronco win to cap it all off. My parents have moved from just outside Philadelphia to Allentown, Pa so the drive has turned into a 3 1/2 hour trip up I-95 to a 3 1/2 hour trek across I-83 and I-76. Not that this matters to many, but the scenery is definitely different.
Came back on Saturday and worked a relatively easy win for the WBB team over Wofford. The team is now 6-2 this season after posting another big win by 31 against LaSalle. This weekend the team hosts Wake Forest, who is currently undefeated and will provide yet another strong non-conference test for the Hoyas. Special thanks to MSOC player Chandler Diggs for helping with the camera during our HoyaVision broadcast of the game against Wofford. Also, we will be tweeting during games this season which you can follow at the Georgetown Athletics Twitter page (http://twitter.com/GeorgetownHoyas).
Also this weekend, the swimming & diving teams cap their 2009 seasons with a dual meet at Villanova which will also feature Mansfield (Pa.). The teams will then be off for winter break and training before returning to the pool on January 15 for a dual meet at American.
Some things that are in the works regarding the baseball team that will hopefully be posted within the next week or two. The guys participated in the American Heart Association's 2009 Start! Greater Washington Heart Walk a few weeks ago and former player Joe Graziano has been awarded the Mitchell Scholarship. The Mitchell Scholarship program annually selects up to twelve young Americans to receive the highly competitive award to study at universities in Ireland and Northern Ireland for a year.
