We flew in on Thursday, it was a long flight but a smooth ride and pretty comfortable since the plane was really empty. Upon getting here I think everyone agreed we did not anticipate this beautiful warm weather.
Moni's footgae from our arrival
The team practiced last night and did dinner before study hall. It was impressive that our academic advisor Katie Boin could get the girls to concentrate when it was almost midnight back home.
Moni and Sugar Rodgers show us the sights
This morning the coaches and staff had NCAA meetings to attend and then the girls came over to Haas Pavilion for the press conference and open practice. Sugar and Moni were once again wonderful, as was Coach. Tia Magee and Adria Crawford also had some face time with Kathy Orton from the Washington Post who was our lone writer to make the trip!
Tia McBride and Morgan Williams recap the morning
After interviews (and some Pictionary for the girls hanging out in the locker room) it was time for open practice. The crowd was sparse but it was still a good opportunity to test out the rims. The team then went to practice a little more offsite just to run through things before tomorrow.
They have a good dinner set for tonight and then resting up! We should all do the same since it will be a hectic day. I'll check in tomorrow with some more behind-the-scenes footage and Go Hoyas!
