April 2010 Archives

The third and final installment of the live blog from Penn is here!  Are you excited for a thrilling day of track at Penn?  This girl is!  The events I'm most looking forward to are of course the ones where the Hoyas are competing - and second to those events, I'm most excited for the Men's 4x100-meter Relay - USA vs. the World!  The fastest man alive, Usain Bolt, will be competing for Jamaica and I am so excited.  As usual, I've provided links for you to keep up with all the action live from Penn Relays!

Good evening Hoya Fans!  First off, I need to apologize to Diana who is finishing up her Penn Relays blog.  We pushed our start time to 7:15 due to the sun so I think she'll be done with her blog before I take over the top spot.  Anyway, here we are in New Haven, Conn.

Here we go!  Let's get excited for another day of track & field at the Penn Relays!  There is not a cloud in the sky today as the temperature is set to be in the low 70s today.  Just for your enjoyment, here are a couple of additional links to help you keep up other than the blog!

And we're off!  The day is like no other at Penn for me.  Where to start, this is the third running of the Penn Relays that I've covered for Georgetown - and today was the first day it has rained.  Though my boss has always assured me that it rains every year at Penn, I was lucky enough to experience two without precipitation.  And to call it rain is being very generous - it was more like a short spring mini storm.  But now we're back to a sunny day with clouds rolling through.  Let's get ready for Thursday night at Penn!

Being a Georgetown student-athlete has its perks, but shaking hands with the Vice President is one of them? Well, I guess anything is possible as a Hoya. On Tuesday I was one of the lucky twelve female student-athletes to attend Vice President Joe Biden's announcement regarding Title IX. We met around 12:15 in our business causal attire to be chauffeured over to George Washington's campus for the event.

At about 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Georgetown senior golfer Vincenzo Salina
(Vandoeuvres, Switzerland/Institut Florimont)
will step to the tee box at the first hole
of the Innisbrook Resort & Golf Course with the chance to do something he has been
hoping to do for three years, since he first stepped foot on the Hilltop.

We are in the home stretch here with four very important games left on the schedule. Win and we're in. A loss could have us scratching at the door. As a team we are starting to hit our stride and each individual has found their niche to contribute to the team.

Hello from Kentucky!  I know most Hoya fans know me as the blogger that brings riveting women's basketball footage, but this Spring I'll be providing fans with an inside look at the women's lacrosse squad.
