Cheesesteaks, Hoagies & Hoyas ... Welcome to Philly

So, it's another year and a slightly different story. It's 2011 and your women's basketball team is in Philadelphia for the Sweet 16. During the 2010 NCAA Tournament, the Hoyas made their way to Berkeley, Calif., for the First and Second Rounds and Barb and I were blogging our escapades from the west coast. This year, the weather may not be as warm but the feeling is certainly sweeter.

With convincing wins over Princeton and Maryland, the Hoyas are now in the Sweet 16 for just the second time in program history. Per usual, Babs is killing her responsibilities as a sports information director (PR person) for the women's basketball team. I have the pleasure of traveling with her for the postseason and helping out with the elevated magnitude of the media. If you get a chance

We're through the bulk of our responsibilities for the day and we have the afternoon to hit up Babs' old stomping grounds as she got her master's degree in sport administration from Temple. Someone has been talking about dropping down and getting her owl on - but readers at home, don't be alarmed ... this girl bleeds Hoya blue. Possibly more than anyone I know besides Meagan Barry and John Cantalupi.

Philly may be known for cheesesteaks, hoagies and soft pretzels ... but, as far as I'm concerned, this is Hoya Town North because our women's basketball team is in the Sweet 16 and we're loving every minute of it!
