In the event that you don't watch as much track & field on television as I do, you may have missed out on the fact that one Andrew Bumbalough, former Hoya seven-time All-American who earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Georgetown, in a Nike track & field commercial. Needless to say, it is pretty awesome to be running for Nike, but it's gotta be even cooler to be a part of their latest commercial. Check it out below.

It's the Saturday of Penn Relays - one of my favorite days of the year. It's the day where I wish I was Jamaican ... well, there are a lot of days that I wish I was Jamaican, but this is definitely the day where I wish it the most. We've got a lot going on here at Franklin Field today and even though there are a couple of clouds in the sky, the sun is finally shining down on the spectators. Hoya Saxa - let's root for a solid day on the track for the Blue & Gray and we even get a showcase of some of the best track athletes in the world as today will also have the famed "USA vs. the World" races!

It's a nice cool day at Franklin Field with clouds rolling in and out and the temperature climbing no higher than 70 degrees today. The wind is bringing the clouds in and we are ready for an exciting day of track! I'm sitting next to Father John Pierce who has decided to call me "Georgetown" ... after the last hour of conversation, he finally asked my name and told him "Diana ... but you can keep calling me 'Georgetown.'"

Someone once said to me, "It always rains at Penn Relays." Luckily, I've always been able to say, "Really? That's never been the case for me!" Well, it's now my fourth Penn Relays and I'm experiencing my first real rain delay. To be fair, I've been here while we've had it drizzle on distance night, but it's never quite put a damper on the events. I've tried to save my laptop from a quick storm but the runners kept going. But, this year was a little different. We are "unofficially" 90 minutes behind schedule.

It's the Sunday of a BIG EAST Track & Field Championship - an undoubtedly exciting day! We're coming to you live from Stile Field House on the campus of the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. That's right, we're not in a BIG EAST city ... but, when the facility looks like this, I can live with that. I've got an awesome vantage point for all the action from my elevated press area and that just means that I can get you the most up-to-date coverage on all the action on the track!

Well, here we are yet again at another BIG EAST Indoor Championship! Can you believe it's already that time of year? We're in the championship portion of the indoor season and we are getting set for what is poised to be a great day of track here at the Stile Athletics Field House on the campus of the University of Akron. I know what you're saying - why Akron? But, if you could see this facility, you would understand why. This place was described by one BIG EAST employee as the "Disneyland of indoor track" and I have to say that I agree.

Welcome to the live blog of the inaugural Hoya Spiked Shoe Club Invitational at the Hanley Athletic Center for Athletic Excellence on the campus of Georgetown Prep in North Bethesda, Md.
No, I don't mean in a distance race ... I'm going to assume few of the GUHoyas.com readership can keep up with Bumbi. I'm talking about his blog! Former Hoya and seven-time All-American Andrew Bumbalough (Bumbi) is in Europe for the summer finishing up the outdoor track & field season. Keep up with him on his blog!
For those of us working in an athletics department this summer, the days may be a little slower - but, for Andrew Bumbalough and a number of other GU track & field alums, the summer is prime outdoor track & field season!
First off, let me start by wishing all the Hoya faithful a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Be safe and have fun, everyone!
Okay, now to the part where you will laugh (and hopefully cry a little) at how absurd my morning was and it will make your day that much better knowing that you could have had my day.
We're closing on yet another year on the Hilltop and I just cannot believe it has gone by so quickly. Sure, some of our sports are far from over - such as our women's lacrosse team, competing for the BIG EAST Championship tomorrow up in Piscataway - but there is a feeling on campus that it's nearly time for summer already.
The third and final installment of the live blog from Penn is here! Are you excited for a thrilling day of track at Penn? This girl is! The events I'm most looking forward to are of course the ones where the Hoyas are competing - and second to those events, I'm most excited for the Men's 4x100-meter Relay - USA vs. the World! The fastest man alive, Usain Bolt, will be competing for Jamaica and I am so excited. As usual, I've provided links for you to keep up with all the action live from Penn Relays!

And we're off! The day is like no other at Penn for me. Where to start, this is the third running of the Penn Relays that I've covered for Georgetown - and today was the first day it has rained. Though my boss has always assured me that it rains every year at Penn, I was lucky enough to experience two without precipitation. And to call it rain is being very generous - it was more like a short spring mini storm. But now we're back to a sunny day with clouds rolling through. Let's get ready for Thursday night at Penn!
Being a Georgetown student-athlete has its perks, but shaking hands with the Vice President is one of them? Well, I guess anything is possible as a Hoya. On Tuesday I was one of the lucky twelve female student-athletes to attend Vice President Joe Biden's announcement regarding Title IX. We met around 12:15 in our business causal attire to be chauffeured over to George Washington's campus for the event.
Hey there Hoya fans! It's quite a busy time for the Georgetown athletics department with our winter sports in the midst of postseason while our spring sports are in full swing with the regular season. For those track & field fans out there, I wanted to make sure everyone had a link to watch the NCAA Championships streamed live from Fayetteville, Arkansas!
