WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Georgetown University department of athletics has put together a discussion panel on the University's profound impact on the world of sports as the Georgetown community convenes this week in New York City as part of John Carroll Weekend.
Georgetown Athletics will present the panel discussion on Friday, April 17 with some of the foremost Hoyas in the world of sports. The panelists are:
Tim Brosnan (C'80), Executive Vice President of Business, Major League Baseball
Aimee Mullins (F'98), athlete, actor and activist
Paul Tagliabue (C'62), former Commissioner of the National Football League and incoming Chairman of the Board of Directors for Georgetown University
John Thompson III, Head Men's Basketball Coach
The panel will be moderated by Rich Battista (B'86), President of Fox National Cable Networks with welcoming remarks from Bernard Muir, Director of Athletics.
The event will take place at the Intercontinental The Barclay New York, a luxury business hotel located at 111 East 48th Street in New York City, from 2-4 p.m.
