July 25, 2011

WASHINGTON - Thanks to the generous support of a record 5,196 supporters, Hoyas Unlimited, the annual fund for Georgetown Athletics, experienced a seventh consecutive year of increased funding to support our student-athletes and coaches.

"This was a terrific achievement considering the tough economic environment," Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Lee Reed said. "It's really a tribute to our supporters and we're very thankful for their loyalty to the Blue & Gray. The continued assistance speaks to their belief in Georgetown Athletics and helps to provide our student-athletes and coaches with the resources necessary to be among the best in the country."

In addition to the seventh consecutive year of increased funding, Hoyas Unlimited finished the year with an impressive 8.7% increase in donors giving to athletics and surpassed 5,000 unique donors for the first time.
