Dan O'Neil has been with the Georgetown Athletics Department since 1999, first joining the staff as the Director of Corporate Sponsorships. He was named Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs in March, 2010 and promoted to Senior Associate during the summer of 2013. In his current role, he oversees marketing, sponsorship, licensing, ticket sales, media rights, and sports information. In addition, he serves as the sport administrator for women's soccer, men's golf, women's golf, and sailing. He is a member of the Big East Golf Championship Committee.
As a member of the Georgetown University Community he was appointed to the Benefits Advisory Committee in 2009 as well as serving on the Licensing Oversight Committee.
Prior to joining Georgetown, O'Neil was employed by SFX Sports Group as a corporate consultant working with many top level brands on sports and entertainment advertising and was was the Vice President, Director of Events with Sports America, Inc.
As a faculty member in the Georgetown School of Continuing Studies, he teaches Marketing in the Sports Industry Management program as well as serving as a Capstone Advisor. He is a 1991 graduate of Marquette University and resides in Kensington, Md., with his wife and daughter.
