Ricky Schramm is a former professional soccer player currently serving as the associate director of Hoyas Unlimited, Georgetown University Athletics' annual fundraising and alumni relations group. A native of Eastchester, N.Y., Schramm graduated from Georgetown in 2007 with a major in English and a minor in Spanish. He is currently a student in Georgetown's MBA Evening Program with emphasis on Marketing and Entrepreneurship. During his undergraduate tenure on the Hilltop, Schramm captained the men's soccer team and earned BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2004. His senior year, Schramm was presented with the Thomas Graham Scholar-Athlete Award, as well as the Ricardo Mendoza Leadership Award. In January of 2007 he was drafted by Major League Soccer's DC United and enjoyed professional stints with the Richmond Kickers and the New York Red Bulls. Schramm currently manages the fundraising and alumni relations efforts for six varsity athletics programs. In his first year with Georgetown he conceived and implemented online communications and marketing strategies circulated among a 25,000-member constituent base. At the sustainable fundraising and promotions startup, Go Raise Green, Schramm directs sales and marketing strategies, supervises the development of an expanding regional sales team and manages the execution and delivery of global marketing strategies as a sub-agency of The Wilkinson Group (San Francisco, Calif.). |
