Beth Thompson joined the Hoya sports medicine staff in the summer of 2011 for two years, and then returned to the Hilltop in 2015. Her primary sports responsibility is women's soccer.
A native of Corona, Calif., Thompson graduated from Whittier College in 2003 after creating her own program and earning a bachelor's degree in sports medicine. She earned her master's degree in athletic training from Seton Hall University.
Before coming to Georgetown, Thompson worked as the head athletic trainer for Notre Dame de Namur University from 2007-2008, overseeing all athletics and working primarily with volleyball, basketball and men's lacrosse. She also worked at Cate School from 2008-2011 overseeing all athletic teams.
Thomson holds a license as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) as well as a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She is also a member of the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association (MAATA).
Thompson currently resides in Chevy Chase, Md.
