CATONSVILLE, Md. – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team continued its unbeaten start to the 2020 season with a 14-8 victory over defending America East Conference champion UMBC on Saturday afternoon. The 15th-ranked Hoyas improve to 2-0 on the year while the Retrievers (0-1) drop their first contest of the season.
Hoya Highlights
• Georgetown won its seventh-straight game against UMBC in the series.
•
Jake Carraway led the Hoyas with four goals and three assists for seven points.
• Carraway moved to third all-time on Georgetown's career scoring list with 192 points (129G, 63A), passing Andy Flick ('00), Paul Murphy ('85) and Chris Remington ('95) on the day.
•
James Reilly was dominant at the 'X', winning 19-of-24 faceoffs and collecting 12 ground balls.

Robert Clark had a hat trick,
Dylan Watson chipped in two goals and
Massimo Bucci had a goal and three assists.

Peter Thompson posted a goal and an assist while
Declan McDermott,
Will Godine and
Colin Munro each scored as well.
• Defensively,
Owen McElroy picked up the win between the pipes with a nine-save performance.

Alex Mazzone collected six ground balls and both
Gibson Smith and
Zachary Geddes added a pair.
UMBC Notes
• Steven Zichelli, Ryan Frawley and Brett McIntyre each had two goals from the Retrievers
• Trevor Patschorke added four assists.
• Tommy Lingner collected 13 saves in goal.

• Georgetown returns to the friendly confines of Cooper Field on Saturday, Feb. 22 against Fairfield in the 2020 home opener.
