Georgetown Sailing Opens 2012 Spring Season at Rose Bowl Regatta

The Georgetown sailing team began the 2012 season with a third place finish in Division A and sixth in Division B. The team finished fourth overall out of 29 teams with 78 points.

Georgetown Sailing Completes Fall Season at the Atlantic Coast Championships

The Georgetown sailing team split sites last weekend with the women traveling to Throggs Neck, N.Y. for the Atlantic Coast Championship hosted by SUNY Maritime while the coed team traveled to Boston for their championship hosted by Harvard. The women finished fourth of 18 teams while the coed team placed 10th in the 18-team field.

Sailing's Katherine Canty Named ICSA All-Academic

Georgetown's Katherine Canty (Vero Beach, Fla./Deerfield Academy), now a senior on the sailing team, was named to the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) All-Academic Sailing Team as an honorable mention selection following the 2010-11 season.

Sailing Wins War Memorial Regatta; Competes at Harvard Women's Regatta

The Georgetown coed sailing team traveled to the Naval Academy this weekend to compete in the Coed Conference Championship, more commonly referred to as the War Memorial Regatta. The team finished first of 18 teams with 156 points.

Hoyas Finish Fifth in One of the Largest Regattasin College Sailing

One of the largest regattas in college sailing was met with blustery winds on Saturday ranging from 18-25 knots. The Hoyas were challenged physically and mentally by the difficult conditions, but were able to maintain their composure into Sunday's more moderate breezes.
