High School: Carefoote is a backstroker from Toronto, Canada who has competed, and finaled, at the Ontario Provincial Championships. She competed in the Canadian Age Group Nationals held in Montreal this summer. Virginia chose Georgetown because of the campus, the school spirit, the incredible academic opportunities and the warm weather. Top times and events (all times are converted from meters to yards): 100 Backstroke 59.55, 200 Backstroke 2:07.62 and 200 IM 2:17.50
