Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown swimming and diving team traveled to Rutgers today in one last effort to qualify swimmers for the BIG EAST Championships. Two swimmers qualified, sophomore Chris Ball (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) and freshman Christina DiNapoli (Saddle River, N.J./Immaculate Heart), totaling 20 student-athletes to represent the Hoyas next week at the championship.

The BIG EAST Championships start on Wednesday, Feb. 15 and go through Saturday, Feb. 18 in Long Island, N.Y.

Men:
Chris Ball: 200 yard freestyle, 500 freestyle
Don Ball: relay event swimmer
David Ballinger: 100 butterfly, 200 butterfly, 100 backstroke
Goran Bistric: 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 100 butterfly
Doug Curran: one meter diving
Jon Hayden: 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 1650 freestyle
Santini Reali: one meter diving, three meter diving
Daniel Robinson: 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 backstroke
Heath Walden: 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 200 butterfly

Women:
Katie Amaro: 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 1650 freestyle
Caitlin Colling: 200 IM, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle
