22 Georgetown University Swimmers & Divers Named All-BIG EAST

Georgetown had 22 student-athletes named All-BIG EAST

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's swimming & diving team had 22 student-athletes to earn All-BIG EAST honors after both teams finished in second place at this past weekend's BIG EAST Championships at the Gloucester Institute of Technology in Sewell, N.J.

The 22 student-athletes to earn All-BIG EAST honors are the most in Georgetown program history. The Hoyas' men's swimming team placed 12, while the men's diving squad had one earn All-BIG EAST honors. The 13 members of the men's squad is tied with Xavier for the most in the conference.

The women's swimming team placed eight, while the women's diving team added one. The nine members of the women's squad is tied for second with Xavier, behind only league champion Villanova. Overall, 79 swimmers and divers were named to the all-conference squad.
