Georgetown Swimming and Diving Opens Dual Meet Season at Delaware on Saturday Afternoon

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in its first dual meet of the season when they travel to University of Delaware to take on the Blue Hens at the Harry Rawstrom Pool, beginning at 1 p.m. The women's team returns to the pool after a strong showing in last Friday's Potomac Relays, earning three first place and six second place finishes, with several of the team's freshmen playing prominent roles in the squads relay place-winners. This week will be the first competition for the men's squad during the 2012-13 season. Georgetown's men will feature captains Paul Quincy (San Ramon, Calif./California), Tom Cooke (Huntington, N.Y./Chaminade) and Brad Murray (Saratoga, Calif./Saratoga), while the women feature captains Amy Ballanfant (Houston, Texas/M.B. Lamar), Sarah Chiles (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga), Christina Daquila (New Providence, N.J./Pingry). Overall the Hoyas and Blue Hens will compete in 32 events, with the event schedule, as follows:
