Georgetown Swimming & Diving Hosts William & Mary and Towson on Saturday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University swimming and diving team will open its home schedule at McCarthy Pool when they host William & Mary and Towson on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. The will be the Hoyas third competitive event of the 2013-14 season.
The Blue & Gray return to action for the first time since the first weekend in October, when the squad finished third overall in the Potomac Relays on Friday, before falling to Delaware in its first dual meet of the season. Senior captain Matthew Mandel won the 50 yard freestyle and anchored the Hoyas winning 200 yard medley relay foursome, while fellow senior captain Christian Kilgore won the 100 yard breaststroke and as also a part of the winning 200 medley relay. On the women's side Molly Gaynor won the 100 yard butterfly in her first collegiate event.
Saturday's meet will be the first time this season that GU will swim against William & Mary. It last saw the Tribe in December 2012. It will be the second time this season they will see Towson, the overall champion of the Potomac Relays on October 4.
