2012 (Junior): Appeared in 46 games, starting 37 of them ... Finished the year second in slugging percentage (.453) and fourth in batting average (.300) ... Had 45 hits in 150 at-bats, including 12 doubles and three homeruns ... Went 3-for-5 with three RBI, including a double and homerun against Coppin State (2/22) ... Went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI against UMBC (2/25) with two doubles and a triple ... Went 6-for-8 in a three day stretch (3/3-3/5) ... 2011 (sophomore): Appeared in 31 games, starting 14 of them ... Had six starts at designated hitter, five in left field, and three at second base ... Scored 10 runs and had 19 hits in 66 at bats ... Went 2-for-3 with three RBI against Army (2/20) ... Went 2-4 with two RBI as a pinch hitter against Coppin State (3/30) ... Went 2 for 2 with a double and four RBI against Navy (4/27).
2010 (freshman): Appeared in 23 games, starting four at second base ... Led all freshmen on the team with a .206 batting average ... Drove in seven runs, scored three times and had seven hits on the season ... In his third start of the year, had three hits and drove in four runs in a 12-1 win against Delaware State on April 21 ... First collegiate hit and RBI came as a walk-off winner against George Mason on February 27 ... Scored his first run as a Hoya on April 14 against George Washington.
Prior to Georgetown: Blakey was an infielder for the Centennial Knights in Roswell, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. At one point this past season, the Knights were the No. 2-ranked team in the state. He played in the Perfect Game National Showcase and was named a Southeast Top Prospect after winning the team MVP his junior season and being an all-region and all-area selection after his senior campaign.
