Georgetown is coming off of a tough opening weekend, dropping the first three games of the season to Wake Forest, Gardner-Webb and Navy in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Austin Shirley (Strafford, Pa./Conestoga) paced the GU offense with a 3-for-7 performance at the plate and was 2-for-2 in stolen bases. Sammy Stevens (Birmingham, Mich./Brother Rice) had three hits, including a home run and a double, and two RBIs. Ryan M. Davidson enters this weekend with a 3-1 record after winning two of three against Lafayette to open the year and defeating Wake Forest on Tuesday evening. Cam Johnson and Alex Mardiney lead the Wildcat offense with .333 batting averages, while Johnson has one of Davidson's two home runs. Davidson has a team batting average of .214, but the pitching staff has a modest 1.29 ERA and 36 strikeouts in four games.
