Georgetown Baseball to Play George Mason This Weekend

Feb. 26, 2010

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University baseball will play a three-game series as scheduled this weekend, but will play local rival George Mason University.

The three-game series will be played at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. The games will be played at CNU's Captains Park and directions can be found on the CNU athletics website, www.cnusports.com.

The Hoyas were originally scheduled to play New York Tech, but due to inclement weather in the Northeast, Tech was not able to hit the road. Mason was originally scheduled to host Army, but again, but because of the weather in New York, their team was not able to make it to Virginia.

Georgetown, serving as the home team, and Mason will play a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 27, starting with a seven-inning game at 11 a.m. The second game, which will be nine innings, will be played afterward.

The final game of the series will be played on Sunday, Feb. 28.
