Wednesday's Georgetown-GW Baseball Game Moved to Barcroft Field in Arlington

March 18, 2014

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown baseball game versus George Washington on Wednesday has been moved to the Colonials' home field, Barcroft Park, in Arlington.

The game will still be played at its original start time of 3 p.m. Georgetown will serve as the home team.

The move was made on Tuesday as Shirley Povich Field, Georgetown's home field, is a grass surface and is not ready following Monday's winter storm. Barcroft Park has a field turf surface.

The Hoyas have already played at Barcroft Park this season, playing there for their home-opening series versus Hartford, Feb. 21-22. Georgetown swept all three games from the Hawks, including two walk-off wins in extra innings.
