O'Hare and Field Named Georgetown Players of the Week
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senior Robert O’Hare (San Jose, Calif./Archbishop Mitty) and junior pitcher Kevin Field (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) were named Georgetown baseball Players of the Week.
The Hoyas played five games this week, including single games against George Washington and Coppin State and a three-game set with the University of Connecticut.
O’Hare hit 7-for-16 on the week, including two doubles, a home run, four RBI, and three walks. One of his best performances was in the second game of a Saturday doubleheader with UConn where O’Hare hit 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. O’Hare is batting .410 on the season with four doubles and two home runs.
Field pitched in an 11-5 win over Coppin State, going seven innings while giving up four runs off five hits, striking out 10. Field is 1-2 on the season with 16 strikeouts to his credit in five appearances.
