On team's overall health ...
Just in general, our team is healthy and we haven't been in a while. Now Austin, what's going on this week has been, for him personally and us, emotionally-trying but at the same time I think he's still - and were still - learning his body and how it reacts. But I think ... as long as his levels are managed we should not see any change in his performance. I think that is accurate and as you saw today that as long as we can manage his sways and his levels, we are going to see a lot more games like that.
On Austin Freeman's diagnosis ...
It's a relief in many ways because we know what is going on and we have the best staff in the world to help us manage it. It's good to be back on the court, it's good to be healthy again. I think that second half may have been our best half of the year. It's one of our better halves of the year, if not the best half in terms of our execution on both ends of the court.
On postseason play ...
You want to win every game you play and we went into today trying to beat Cincinnati and nothing else was on my mind and I don't think anything else was on our guys' minds. Until the game was over, I did not know what our situation was. You've heard me say this, wait until the end of the season to pick your head up looking to see where we are. The year is broken into three parts. You have the regular season which just ended and we are going to pick our heads up and see where we are, see when we play, and who we play. The second part is the BIG EAST Tournament and the third part is the NCAA (Tournament) and so we just finished one of three phases.
Georgetown Junior Guard Austin Freeman
On how he felt during the game ...
I'm fine, I'm fine. It was just good to be out there again and to play with my teammates and just doing what I do. It was a lot of fun to be out there.
On the crowd's support ...
I was happy to have their support out there. It got me going out there. I want to thank them a lot too.
Georgetown Sophomore Center Greg Monroe
On having a bye in the BIG EAST Tournament ...
No matter what, when you have to play you have to play. It's not my decision to make whenever they say you have to play I'm just going out there and trying to do my job.
On anticipation of postseason play ...
Speaking for myself and probably most of my teammates I am very excited. Definitely for the BIG EAST ... I am not looking past the BIG EAST Right now. I've been there and I know it was only one game this time I am trying to make a bigger splash than we did last year.
Cincinnati Head Coach Mick Cronin
On today's loss ...
Obviously, (it was) a tale of two halves. The second half we got totally outplayed. We didn't do a very good job on the defensive glass. Their guys stepped up and played well. There's a difference between playing hard and playing well. Playing hard is only going to get you so far.
On Cincinnati's tough stretch of games and lack of shots from players other than Lance Stephenson ...
We just played our third game in seven days against top 25 teams. Not only are we not making baskets, we're throwing it right back to them. Other than Lance Stephenson, we had eight field goals (made in the game). That's not enough.
On playing against a strong shooting Georgetown team ...
Georgetown is a team that shoots 50 percent. They're very hard to guard in the half court.
