February 16, 2005 - The Hoyas (16-7, 8-4) lost on the road to Notre Dame (15-7, 7-5) 64-70 on 2/16/05. Brandon Bowman led the Hoyas scoring with 17 points and GU's rebounders with 7 caroms. Jeff Green also had 7 rebounds and added 9 points, 6 assists and 2 blocks. Roy Hibbert set a new career high in scoring with 15 points. Ashanti Cook added 11 points to round out the trio of Hoya double figure scorers.

Georgetown got off to a slow start, turning over the ball 11 times while forcing 6 in the opening half. Trailing by 2 with 7:34 remaining, the Hoyas saw their opponents score 6 from the stripe and 6 from beyond the arc before Roy Hibbert could answer from the paint. At intermission GU trailed by 13, 17-30.

In the second half the Hoyas upped their shooting percentage from 31.6% to 63.3% (19-30) from the field, hit 4 of 8 treys and scored 5 of 6 from the stripe. Notre Dame shot 47.4%, 44.4% from beyond the arc and scored 18 of 20 from the line. Down 7 (52-59) with 2:29 remaining the Hoyas watched the Fighting Irish score 1 basket and 9 free throws.

For the game, Georgetown outrebounded ND 30-23 and outscored the Irish in the paint 36-10. Notre Dame scored 5 more treys and made 17 more points from the stripe. The final was 64-70.
