After a dunk from James Burney made it 32-15, Sapp - who finished with 10 points in the half - extended the margin to 20 points with a three. Georgetown took its biggest lead - 21 points - first on one of two free throws from Monroe (36-15) and then on a layup from sophomore forward Julian Vaughn (Reston, Va./Oak Hill Academy), pushing the lead to 38-17 before the Hoyas settled for a 38-20 lead at the break.
