WASHINGTON (AP)- Ray Reed scored 10 points and Georgetown held San Jose State to a season-low point total in Saturday night's 58-40 win over the Spartans.

Georgetown (4-2), playing a rare home game in its on-campus gym as opposed to the downtown MCI Center, never let the Spartans (3-4) have a chance in their first game within 100 miles of the Atlantic Ocean in more than 30 years. San Jose was held to its lowest point total since a 67-41 loss to Tulsa on Jan. 20, 2000.

Saturday, the Spartans shot 37 percent from the floor, turned the ball over 15 times and were never closer than 15 in the second half.

Marquin Chandler led San Jose State with 15 points.

Georgetown, now 20-0 on-campus since the 1982-83 season, shot just 37 percent, but cruised to the win on the strength of its rebounding. The Hoyas outrebounded the Spartans 37-27 overall and didn't allow San Jose State to get an offensive rebound until 17:52 left in the second half.

By then, the Hoyas were in the middle of a 14-5 run that pushed the lead to 48-24 with 8:31 to play.
