Men's Basketball Holds Annual Awards Banquet

Over 230 alumni, family and friends of Georgetown basketball came out to the Leavey Center Ballroom Friday night to support the 2003-04 men's basketball team at the annual awards banquet.

President Jack DeGioia addressed the crowd, speaking on how fortunate the players are to now be a part of the Georgetown basketball tradition. Joe Lonardo C'69 served as the MC. Seniors Omari Faulkner and Courtland Freeman each also spoke, thanking all of those who helped to make their time at Georgetown such a great experience.

During the ceremony awards were given to members and supporters of the team for their dedication, and excellence both on and off the court. The award recipients were:

Manager of the Year: Justin Zormelo
Raymond Medley Award: Courtland Freeman
Mary Fenlon Scholar-Athlete Award: Omari Faulkner
Captain's Award: Courtland Freeman
Most Outstanding Player: Brandon Bowman
Most Valuable Player: Gerald Riley
