WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's basketball team will play UCLA in one of two semifinal games of the Legends Classic on Monday, Nov. 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The game between the Hoyas and the Bruins will air live on ESPN2, following the first semifinal game, featuring Indiana and Georgia. The first game tips off at 5:30 p.m.

The Legends Classic also includes two regional round games to be played at Verizon Center. On Sunday, Nov. 11, the Hoyas will play Duquesne; the tournament continues on Wednesday, Nov. 14, with the Blue & Gray hosting Liberty.

Scheduled to open in September 2012, Barclays Center will be a major sports and entertainment venue in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. Designed by the award-winning architectural firms AECOM (www.aecom.com/architecture) and SHoP Architects (www.shoparc.com), Barclays Center will have one of the most intimate seating configurations ever designed into a modern multi-purpose arena, with unparalleled sightlines and first-class amenities. Barclays Center will offer approximately 18,000 seats for basketball and up to 19,000 seats for concerts, and will also have 100 luxury suites, four bars/lounges, three clubs, and a restaurant.
Located atop one of the largest transportation hubs in New York City, Barclays Center will be accessible by 11 subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road.
The Legends Classic is produced by the Gazelle Group of Princeton, N.J. The Gazelle Group is a sports marketing firm, specializing in event production and management, client representation, and sponsorship consulting. Gazelle produces numerous nationally-recognized events, such as the 2K Sports Classic, the Gotham Classic, the CBI presented by Zebra Pen, and the All-American Championship. The Gazelle Group is a member of USA Basketball.
The 2012-13 schedule for Georgetown features 17 games at Verizon Center, including nine BIG EAST games and a non-league matchup against Tennessee as part of the BIG EAST/SEC Challenge and the two regional round games of the Legends Classic. The Hoyas will play home-and-home series against NCAA Tournament participants Marquette and Syracuse, as well as two games against Rutgers and St. John's. Other home games include an appearance by NCAA Finalist Louisville, College Basketball Invitational champion Pittsburgh, NIT participant Seton Hall and games against DePaul and Providence.
The season starts on Friday, Nov. 9, with Georgetown playing against Florida in the Navy-Marine Corps Classic on the USS Bataan in Jacksonville. The Blue & Gray will also play Texas in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

Georgetown finished the 2011-12 season with a 24-9 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in eight years under Head Coach John Thompson III. The Hoyas, who were picked to finish 10th in the BIG EAST, posted a 12-6 record in league play and were among the top five teams in the league.
