9/9/2003 Three games on national television (1 on CBS, and 2 on ESPN), and 12 contests with opponents who appeared in post season tournaments last season (including both NCAA and NIT Champions) highlight the 2003-2004 Georgetown University Men's Basketball schedule. The Hoyas' inaugural television appearance of the season will be the CBS match up with Duke (26-7 NCAA), on January 24th. ESPN will broadcast the non-conference meeting at Temple (17-16 NIT) on February 14th and the February 21st home game against defending National Champion Syracuse (30-5 NCAA). GU’s home slate of BIG EAST opponents will begin January 3rd with Rutgers. On January 6th the Hoyas face Boston College (19-11 NIT) and on January 20th there is a rematch with the NIT Champions, St John’s (20-13 NIT). In February the Hoyas host Villanova (15-16 NIT) on the 5th and Miami on the 7th. On the 21st it is the NCAA Champions, Syracuse (30-5 NCAA) and on the 24th GU hosts the BIG EAST Champions, Pittsburgh (28-5 NCAA). The Hoyas conclude their home slate with Virginia Tech on March 6th. On the road the Hoyas will face BIG EAST opponent West Virginia on January 10th and visit Connecticut (23-10 NCAA) on the 14th. Georgetown visits Providence (18-14 NIT) on January 26th and closes the month with a trip to Miami on the 31st. February 11th the team will be at Virginia Tech while on the 18th they will again play NIT Champions St. John’s (20-13 NIT). The Hoyas are at Seton Hall (17-13 NIT) on February 28th and visit Notre Dame (24-10 NCAA) on March 3. Georgetown's first home game will take place on November 21st when the Hoyas face Grambling. Coastal Carolina visits the MCI Center on November 25th and Delaware State closes out November with a visit on the 29th. December sees the Hoyas host Norfolk State on the 3rd, then Davidson on the 6th, Elon on the 13th and Howard on the 20th. GU’s non-conference road opponents include Penn State on November 23rd, the Citadel on December 22nd and Temple (17-16 NIT) on February 14th. Georgetown will play an exhibition game against a touring International team at McDonough Arena on November 1 and will travel to New Jersey, as they did last year for a scrimmage with Princeton in November.
