Georgetown Men's Basketball Announces Television Schedule

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's basketball team will appear on television 26 times during the 2010-11 season, with 15 games appearing on the ESPN Networks, nine games being shown on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN), one game on Comcast and one game airing on CBS.
The 2010-11 schedule features 21 games with opponents who appeared in postseason tournaments last season and a trip to play in the Charleston Classic. Other highlights include BIG EAST Conference games at home against West Virginia and Syracuse, as well as non-league games at Temple, Missouri and Memphis.
Senior Day at Verizon Center will feature Georgetown hosting BIG EAST rival Syracuse in a game aired live on CBS on Feb. 26 at noon.
The Hoyas will also make at least 15 appearances on the ESPN Networks, starting with the team's home opener on Nov. 15 against Tulane, which will air on ESPN3 at 7 p.m.
Georgetown's visit to Missouri on Nov. 30 will air on ESPN at 9 p.m. and is the first of fourt-straight games on the network. The Hoyas will host Utah State at Verizon Center on Dec. 4, with the game airing on ESPNU at noon. The Blue & Gray will then travel to Philadelphia to meet Temple on Dec. 9 on ESPN2 at 9 p.m. before returning home to play Appalachian State on Dec. 12 (noon, ESPNU).
GU will play at Memphis on Dec. 23, with the game airing on ESPN2 at 8 p.m., and will play its opening BIG EAST Conference game on Dec. 29 at Notre Dame on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.
In January, the Hoyas will make six appearances on the ESPN Networks. Home games against West Virginia (Jan. 8, 11 a.m.) and Pittsburgh (Jan. 12, 7 p.m.) will air on ESPN2, while a matchup with Louisville on Jan. 31 will be shown on ESPN at 7 p.m. Road games during the month include one against St. John's (Jan. 3, 7 p.m.) on ESPN2, at Rutgers (Jan. 15, noon) on ESPNU and at Villanova (Jan. 29, noon) will be shown on ESPN.
When the Hoyas visit Syracuse on Feb. 9, the game will air on ESPN/2 at 7 p.m. and a home game against Marquette on Feb. 13 will be shown on ESPN at 1 p.m.
The Hoyas will also appear on MASN nine times throughout the season, starting with the team's first game in the Charleston Classic against Coastal Carolina on Nov. 18 at noon.
Other MASN games include a non-league game against Loyola (Md.) (Dec. 18, noon).
BIG EAST Conference games appearing on MASN include Georgetown's first league game at home on Jan. 1 at 1 p.m. against DePaul. GU's game at Seton Hall on Jan. 18 will air on MASN at 7 p.m. and the team's home game against St. John's will air on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m.
The Hoyas will appear on MASN five times during February and March - a home game against Providence on Feb. 5 (noon), road games at Connecticut on Feb. 16 (7 p.m.) and USF on Feb. 19 (7 p.m.), a home game against Cincinnati on Feb. 23 (9 p.m.) and the team's regular season finale on March 5 at Cincinnati (2 p.m.).
Georgetown's season opener at Old Dominion will air on Comcast on Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.
