Pryor Scores 26, Georgetown Beats Howard, 85-72
WASHINGTON -- Graduate student Rodney Pryor (Evanston, Ill./Notre Dame Prep/Robert Morris) scored 26 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead four players in double figures as the Georgetown men's basketball team knocked off Howard, 85-72, at Verizon Center on Sunday afternoon.

GU improved to 6-0 on the season after a 76-60 win against Coppin State on Sunday night. Junior Jessie Govan (Queens Village, N.Y./Wings Academy) led the Hoyas with a season-high 26 points and a career-high 16 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. On Monday Govan was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season.

Also contributing to Sunday's win were junior Marcus Derrickson (Bowie, Md./Brewster Academy [N.H.]) and freshman Jamorko Pickett (Washington, D.C./Massanutten Military Academy [Va.]), who each chipped in 13 points to round out those in double figures. Junior Kaleb Johnson (South Hill, Va./The Carlisle School) and senior Jonathan Mulmore (New Orleans, La./Redemption Christian [Texas]/Alleghany) each provided five assists to lead the squad while Mulmore added a pair of steals.

Georgetown currently leads the BIG EAST in rebounds, averaging 41.2 per game, and Govan leads the league in the same category with 12.2 rpg. With an 11.8 rpg margin, the Hoyas lead the league and rank eighth in the country. GU is second in the BIG EAST in 3-point field goal percentage, hitting 41.3 percent, along with being ranked second with 18.3 assists per game. Mulmore is third in the league with 5.33 assists per game and Derrickson comes in second in the free throw percentage category (.955).
