One of the hardest workers on the team ... Has a tremendous work ethic and is a leader both on the field and off ... Has been heavily involved in community service projects on campus, including his own non-profit organization, Students of AMF (Ailing Mothers and Fathers) - named in honor of his mother Anne Marie Fajgenbaum, who passed away from brain cancer in 2004.
2005: Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member ... A recipient of the Lena Landegger Community Service Award by Georgetown University (each honoree was presented with $2,500 for their distinguished contributions to community service) ... Chosen as a 2006 Lisa J. Raines Summer Scholar (the summer scholar is presented a $5,000 research grant, which he used in the summer of 2006 to study bereavement by college students).

High School: A football and track athlete at Ravenscroft...team captain of both teams as a senior...threw for 2,400 yards as a senior despite injury...football team won state crown in 2000 and was runner-up in 2001 and 2002...finished 2001 season in the top 10 in North Carolina for total offense and passing yards...a 2002 All-Conference selection in track and field and the "Raven Award" winner in track for the 2002-03 season...won the Ravenscroft Scholar-Athlete Award from 2001-03...a 2003 National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award winner.
