Tony Lucas was named running backs coach at Georgetown University in June 2011.

At Georgetown, Lucas will be responsible for coaching the running backs within offensive coordinator David Patenaude's offense.

Lucas comes to the Hilltop after spending one season as the defensive quality control/assistant academic coordinator at Bowling Green State University. There, he was responsible for monitoring the academic development of student-athletes. Lucas was also responsible for breaking down opponent passing concepts and assisting with defensive scouting reports and in-game scouting of opponent's offensive schemes and personnel.

Lucas, a Bloomfield, Conn. native, is a 2003 graduate of Columbia University where he was a four-year letter-winner, receiving the team's Maniatty-Remmer Unsung Hero Award, while earning a degree in economics. Lucas earned his master's in economics at Trinity College in 2010 where he served as a graduate assistant, coaching the outside linebackers.
