Prior to Georgetown: Was a four-year member and three-year starter for the Westfield High School football team, serving as team captain his senior year for head coach Jim Desarno ... Named Most Valuable Senior as well as USA Today All-USA New Jersey Football First Team Defense, first team all-state (nj.com), first team all-metro (news 12 varsity), First Team All-New Jersey (news 12 varsity), N.J. Football Coaches Association Super 100 Team, Mid-State 39 Player of the Year (nj.com) and Defensive Player of the Year (Courier News) ... Helped lead Westfield to the 2015 and 2016 North 2 Group 5 New Jersey State Championships as well as a 25-game winning streak ... Finished his senior season with 79 tackles and 15 sacks ... Was also a member of the baseball team ... In the classroom, was a member of the Latin Club and the Support the Troops Club.
