Georgetown Football has 25 Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team had 26 student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, when the league office announced the recipients for the 2013 season on Friday morning. To be eligible for the football academic honor roll, a student-athlete must earn at least 3.20 grade-point average.
Senior wide receiver Aaron Aiken (Morristown, N.J./The Lawrenceville School) earned the honor for a team-leading fourth time. Junior defensive end Alec May(Wrenthem, Mass./King Phillip), who was named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team in November, earned a spot on the PL Academic Honor Roll for the third time in three seasons.
Senior running back Nick Campanella (Roselle, Ill./Montini Catholic), senior offensive lineman James Spaly (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) and junior defensive lineman Mitchell Black(Edinburgh, Scotland/University School) each earned academic honor roll for the third time.
The Patriot League Football Academic Honor Roll recognizes the classroom accomplishments of the student-athletes during the fall semester with a minimum 3.2 grade point average necessary for inclusion on the list. Overall, 166 student-athletes were named to the honor roll.
