Head Coach Rob Sgarlata Announces Class of 23 on National Signing Day

Rob Sgarlata announced his first recruiting class as the Head Coach of the football program.

WASHINGTON - Head Coach Rob Sgarlata announced the program's 23-student-athlete recruiting class on National Signing Day, his first class at the helm of the Georgetown University football program. The Hoyas add 11 on offense and 12 on defense for the Class of 2019.

Sgarlata and the Hoyas continue to recruit nationally, with their class of 23 hailing from 14 different states, including eight from Florida, two each from Louisiana, Georgia and Missouri and one apiece from California, Maryland, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin. Georgetown continued to search for talent and leadership, with 13 members of the incoming class serving as team captains at their respective high schools.

"I am very excited to welcome these 23 student-athletes to the Hilltop," Sgarlata said. "I am extremely grateful to our recruiting coordinator, Alex Kolt, and my staff for their tireless efforts in putting this class together. I am blessed to work with amazing people in both the athletic department and on main campus. Everyone's effort and cooperation have allowed us to compile a very talented group from across the nation. I am very excited to welcome these 23 individuals to the Hoya Football Family."
