Georgetown Football Alum Steven Cortes Returns to Campus to Discuss his Recently Published Book

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University football alum Steven Cortes returns to the Hilltop on Wednesday, February 29 to discuss his latest book, Against the Herd: 6 Contrarian Investment Strategies You Should Follow. Cortes will speak at White-Gravenor Hall in room 201A, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Cortes, a three-year member of the football team as a defensive lineman was nominated by the University for the Rhodes Scholarship and was named a George F. Baker Scholar. A 1994 graduate, Cortes has experienced a great deal of success in the business world, starting Veracruz, a research consulting firm. Cortes is also a regular contributor on CNBC's Fast Money "Halftime Report."

Cortes' book was recently published in December, as he makes his first trip to Georgetown to discuss it, in an event sponsored by Georgetown College and The Baker Scholars Program.
