Hoya Notes: From the Desk of Head Coach Kevin Kelly

March 25, 2011

Dear family, friends and fans,

This week marked the beginning of our spring practice schedule. Tuesday was our first day on the field and today was our first day in pads. I think I can speak for the staff in that we are all excited to be back on the field preparing for our first game on Saturday, September 3 when we host Davidson College.

Before we can take the field in the fall a lot of hard work still needs to be put in to continue to build from last season, as we move toward our ultimate goal of winning a Patriot League Championship and becoming an elite FCS program.

The spring has traditionally been a time where we have had players step up and show great improvement on the way to increased playing time in the fall.

With that being said, we will be holding two open scrimmages prior to our Annual Blue & Gray game.

First scrimmage: Saturday, April 2 at 11 a.m. Second scrimmage: Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m.

The week after our second scrimmage will be our Blue & Gray game, following our team banquet on Saturday, April 16 at 3 p.m. We welcome all of you out to Multi-Sport Field throughout our spring practices and look forward to your support!

Win the Day!

Coach Kelly
