Head Coach Rob Sgarlata Announces Recruiting Class of 32 for Class of 2018

Georgetown adds 32 to football family.

Georgetown University Head Football Coach Rob Sgarlata has announced the program’s 32-student-athlete recruiting class, set to arrive on campus in August to begin preparation for the 2014 football season. The Hoyas will add 17 to offense, 13 to defense and two to special teams for the Class of 2018 to help replenish the program with 24 seniors set to graduate next week.

The Hoyas incoming freshmen hail from 16 different states, including: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.

"We are very excited to welcome the incoming class of 32 members to the Hoya Football Family,” Head Coach Rob Sgarlata said. “Our coaching staff did a tremendous job recruiting locally and nationally and I think the national representation of our class is a testament to the popularity and academic excellence of Georgetown University. This class should provide depth on both the offensive and defensive lines.  We are also excited to welcome a number of talented skill players to the Hilltop."
