Georgetown adds five players to the 2016 roster.

June 29, 2016

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team has announced three additional members to its 2016 recruiting class who have signed national letters of intent (NLIs) and two transfers that will join the program when the team reports for training camp in August.

Defensive back Leon Agee (Laurel, Miss./Robert S. Alexander), wide receiver Michael Dereus (Hyde Park, Mass./Williston Northampton) and offensive lineman Justin Wood (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Loyalsock Township) have each signed NLIs, giving Georgetown an incoming group of 20 student-athletes for the Class of 2020.

Linebackers Chris Gavin (Baltimore, Md./South Carroll [VMI]) and Cameron Seward (Dunwoody, Ga./The Westminster School [Boston College]) both join the program as transfers and will be eligible immediately. Gavin will have four years of eligibility, while Seward will have three after a redshirt year and one active season at Boston College.

"We are all very excited to welcome these five student-athletes to the Hoya football family," Head Coach Rob Sgarlata said. "All five will add to the quality of our program on and off the field. I cannot wait to get them working with the rest of our team when training camp begins in August."
