WASHINGTON - Senior quarterback Isaiah Kempf was named a Patriot League Weekly Honorable Mention after throwing two touchdown passes and rushing for one in the Georgetown University football team's (1-1, 0-0 Patriot League) 42-6 victory over Davidson on Saturday night.
The weekly honorable mention is Kempf's first weekly accolade since being named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week on September 21, 2009. On Saturday, Kempf completed 16-of-23 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 37 yards, scoring on a 15 yard touchdown run.
On the season, Kempf has completed 39-of-64 passes for 383 yards and three touchdown passes, helping GU go seven-for-eight in the red zone with seven touchdowns.
Kempf is currently in the top five in five different all-time program categories, including pass attempts (second, 682) completions (second, 363), passing yardage (fourth, 3,630), completion percentage (fifth, .532) and total offense (fourth, 3,908).
