Kyle Nolan earned the PL Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Sept. 14, 2015

WASHINGTON - Senior quarterback Kyle Nolan (Branford, Conn./Branford[Choate Rosemary Hall]) was named the Corvias Patriot League Football Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Georgetown’s 34-7 victory over Marist on Saturday evening.

Nolan completed 21-of-34 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns, both to junior wide receiver Justin Hill (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour), while adding 26 rushing yards, to lead the Hoyas to their biggest offensive output since September 7, 2013.

“It's an honor to be named offensive player of the week, but all of the credit belongs to everyone around me,” Nolan said. “The offensive line stepped up big this week by handling Marist's defensive front all night and the guys at the skill positions played phenomenally. Justin Hill made great plays in order to get into the end zone twice and the passing game wouldn't open up without the threat of Jo'el Kimpela in the backfield.”

Sophomore defensive back David Akere (Carrollton, Texas/Hebron) was selected as a PL weekly honorable mention after recording a career-high 12 tackles and intercepting a pass and returning it 24 yards to help set up a GU touchdown.

The Hoyas return to action on Saturday, September 19 when they host Ivy League foe Dartmouth (0-0). Live coverage on will begin at noon from Multi-Sport Field.
