WASHINGTON - The Georgetown football team hits the road for the first of two road games, starting with a Patriot League matchup against Bucknell on Saturday, Oct. 3 at Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, Pa. As he has done each week this season, senior tight end Henry Bowe (Deephaven, Minn./Minnetonka) provides an update.
"We began this week again after a loss but again hungry and ready for work. As per usual, music was blasted out of Rich Hussey's speakers in the locker room and we took the field Tuesday morning to begin another game week. As an offense, we have again focused on our execution in the red zone and also establishing our running game. If we can do those two things this weekend, we will have a great chance at winning this game. I can still remember the last time we traveled to Lewisburg, PA for a game and we left the field in celebratory chaos after kicker Eric Bjonerud won the game 20-17 with a field goal in the last few seconds.
"In locker room news, players on the team are still trying to find at least one song that freshman Brandon Floyd a) doesn't know the words to and b) won't sing along to. It should be noted however, that we're much more comfortable hearing his voice as long as we don't have to listen to Jared Myers' rapping. Also, sophomore Mike McIntyre has unbelievable dance moves, so look for those around campus. There is also an ongoing investigation to kicker Jose-Pablo Buerba's infamous hair flip. More to come."
