Jamal Davis Named to the Patriot League Football Weekly Honor Roll

Jamal Davis had a career-high 10 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown on Saturday at Bucknell.

WASHINGTON - Sophomore wide receiver Jamal Davis (North Lauderdale, Fla./Coral Springs) was named to the Patriot League Football Weekly Honor Roll after posting a career-high 10 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown in Georgetown's loss at Bucknell on Saturday.

Davis was targeted often against the Bison, especially late as the Hoyas looked to make a comeback. Davis caught five passes for 44 yards in the fourth quarter alone.

Through four games, Davis leads GU receivers with 22 receptions for 220 yards and one touchdown, a 19 yard catch in the second quarter against Bucknell.

The weekly honor is the first for Davis in his Georgetown career.

The Hoyas (3-2, 1-1 Patriot League) return to action on Saturday, October 8 as they travel to Staten Island, N.Y. to take on Wagner (1-4, 1-2 NEC) at 1 p.m. GU fans will be able to listen to a live audio broadcast, featuring Chuck Timanus on the Hoyas Official Athletic Website - www.guhoyas.com.
