Georgetown Returns Home to Host No. 17 Colgate in Patriot League Matchup

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team returns home this weekend, hosting Patriot League rival Colgate at the Multi-Sport Field Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.

Fans can tune in for a live webcast of the game on the Georgetown Athletics website - - with Chuck Timanus providing all of the calls on HoyaVision. Live stats for the game will also be available.

The Hoyas will be seeking their first win, and first Patriot League victory, when the team hosts the Raiders. Colgate enters the game against Georgetown in a tie for first place in the Patriot League with Bucknell, Holy Cross, Lafayette and Lehigh, with team carrying a 1-0 record.

Georgetown enters the game with an 0-6 overall record and an 0-4 mark in the Patriot. Colgate, meanwhile, will be playing its second league game of the season and enters the contest with a 6-0 overall record. The Raiders are ranked No. 17 in the country in the Football Championship Subdivision (FSC) Coaches poll and No. 18 by The Sports Network.

Freshman quarterback Isaiah Kempf (Glendale, Ariz./Oaks Christian [Calif.]) will lead the Hoya offense, starting his fifth-straight game. Kempf, who was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Sept. 28 after throwing for 332 yards in a loss to Yale, has completed 54.5 percent of his passes (102-of-187) for 932 yards and one touchdown. Kempf ranks fourth in the Patriot League with 186.4 passing yards per game and fifth in the league in total offense, with 170.8 yards per game.

Kempf's favorite target has been senior slot Robert Lane (Greensboro, N.C./Grimsley), who leads the team with 34 catches for 334 yards. Lane is fourth in the conference with 5.7 receptions per game and ranks sixth with 55.7 receiving yards per game.

Senior kicker Jose-Pablo Buerba (Phoenix, Ariz./Brophy College Prep) leads the Patriot League in field goals with five and leads the league with 0.83 kicks made per game.



Junior linebacker Nick Parrish (Irving, Texas/Jesuit College Prep) leads the Patriot League in tackles with 65 and is second in stops per game with 10.8. Parrish, who was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 28 after registering 17 tackles against Yale, is one of five Georgetown players among the top-20 in the league in tackles per game.

Sophomore David Quintero (Miramar, Fla./Ft. Lauderdale) is fifth in the league with 49 tackles, junior Patrick O'Donnell (Media, Pa./Penncrest) is tied for 14th with 6.4 tackles (32 tackles), senior Travis Mack (West Chester, Pa./The Hill School) is 17th with 6.2 tackles (37 overall) and senior Chudi Obianwu (Southampton, N.J./Bishop Eustace) is tied for 19th with 5.5 tackles per game.
