WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team (1-8, 0-3 Patriot League) travels to Lewisburg, Pa. to take on Bucknell University (4-5, 2-2 Patriot League) on Saturday afternoon at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.

This will be the 26th meeting between the two programs, with the Hoyas trailing the all-time series 10-14-1. GU defeated Bucknell, 10-3, at Multi-Sport Field last season. Fans can listen to a free live audio broadcast of Saturday's action on the Georgetown Athletics official website - www.guhoyas.com - with Chuck Timanus providing the play-by-play and Ryan Sakamoto adding commentary. Georgetown Football Defense Stifles Bucknell in 10-3 Victory
WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team (5-5, 2-2 Patriot League) turned in a stifling defensive performance, holding Bucknell University (2-8, 0-5 Patriot League) to just three points and 168 total yards, to earn a 10-3 victory on Saturday afternoon at Multi-Sport Field. The win was the Hoyas first home win over Bucknell since 2003, GU's first Patriot League victory.

The Hoyas are coming off a bye week, will look to bounce back after a 45-27 loss to Lafayette on November 2. Against the Leopards, the Hoyas got career-games from two individuals, as senior tight end Daniel Sprotte (Garden City, N.Y./Chaminade) had 11 catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns. His performance earned him CFPA National Tight End of the Week honors. Junior defensive end Alec May (Wrenthem, Mass./King Phillip) had a career-high 12 tackles, 3.0 sacks and 3.0 tackles for loss of 16 yards.

HOYAS IN THE RED ZONE...Georgetown went three-for-three in the red zone, to rebound from an uncharacteristic day against Colgate on Oct. 26, failing to score in two of three opportunities. The Hoyas had are 23-of-27, among the top 30 in the nation in red zone efficiency, when crossing the opposing team's 20 yard line. Nick Campanella has six rushing touchdowns and one TD catch, while TE Dan Sprotte has four touchdown catches. CAMPANELLA CLIMBING CHARTS...Senior RB Nick Campanella has been among the Patriot League leaders in touchdowns in each of the past two seasons, earning All-PL Second Team honors in both. After a 37-yard rushing touchdown against Lafayette, Campanella is closing in on the Hoyas all-time rushing TD mark. With 21 career rushing touchdowns, Campanella is five away from tying Steve Iorio and Dean Lowry with 26 rushing touchdowns. Campanella has two more games...His 24 rushing and receiving touchdowns is tied for fifth in GU history. Kyle Nolan UNDER CENTER...Sophomore QB Kyle Nolan has taken snaps in seven collegiate games, including three starts this season. The Branford, Conn. native, has completed 79-of-126 for 705 yards four touchdowns and three interceptions this season. He added his first rushing touchdown against Colgate. This Saturday's game with the Bucknell will be his sixth career start. He earned his lone starting victory against Lafayette last season.

ABOUT BUCKNELL... Bucknell had its three-game win streak snapped against No. 6 Fordham last Saturday. The Bison had the potential game-winning field goal blocked as time expired to fall 23-21. Bucknell had defeated Dartmouth, No. 15 Lehigh and Colgate in its previous three games...The Bison run defense has again been stout, ranking seventh in the nation, allowing 101.4 yards per game. BU has ranked in the top 10 in the nation against the run in each of the past two seasons. They have held 12 opponents under 50 yards since the beginning of 2011...Bucknell is 11-3 in its last 14 games when they score at least 20 points. Bucknell has scored 20 or more in three straight games for the first time since 2008...Senior QB Brandon Wesley is Bucknell's career leader in completions (542), pass attempts (939), passing yards (5.961) and total offense (6.602)...The Bison freshman class has made a major impact, as nine freshmen are listed in the team's two-deep. Freshman RB CJ Williams is among the league leaders with 760 rushing yards. He has 100-yard outings in three of the team's four PL matchups.
