WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team will close out the 2009 regular season this Saturday November, 21 as they play host to Fordham on senior day. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Multi-Sport Field on the campus of Georgetown University.

Prior to kickoff, the football program will honor 22 seniors for their hard work and dedication to the program. The seniors to be honored include: defensive back Ike Acholonu (Sicklerville, N.J./Paul VI), wide receiver Zachary Barbiasz (Ware, Mass. / Ware), defensive back Willie Bodrick II (Atlanta, Ga. / Benjamin E. Mays), tight end Henry Bowe (Deephaven, Minn. / Minnetonka), kicker Jose-Pablo Buerba (Phoenix, Ariz. / Brophy College Prep), linebacker Jon Cassidy (Alton Bay, N.H. / Saint John's Prep), offensive lineman Brooks Caston (Dallas, Texas / J.J. Pearce), wide receiver Rick Cosgrove (Chalfont, Pa. / LaSalle College H.S.), defensive back Dennis Jackson (Miramar, Fla. / Northwestern), wide receiver Matt Kinnan (Syracuse, N.Y. / Christian Brothers Academy), defensive back Travis Mack (West Chester, Pa. / The Hill School), offensive lineman George Mosle (Olney, Md. / Sherwood), defensive lineman Jared Myers (Hummelstown, Pa. / Lower Dauphin), tight end Brian Josephs (Elmhurst, Ill. / York Community), offensive lineman Rich Hussey (North Arlington, N.J. / St. Peter's Prep), slot receiver Robert Lane (Greensboro, N.C. / Grimsley), offensive lineman Dan Matheny (Fairfax, Va. / Paul VI), defensive lineman Chudi Obianwu (Southampton, N.J. / Bishop Eustace), defensive back Chris Rau (Avon Lake, Ohio / Avon Lake) and linebacker Joey Tavarez (San Juan Capo, Calif. / Mater Dei).
Georgetown enters the game with a 0-10 overall record and a 0-5 mark in the Patriot League, while Fordham dropped to 4-6 overall and 1-4 in conference action after falling to Lehigh last weekend. This game will mark the 53rd meeting between Fordham and Georgetown, with the Rams holding a slight edge at 28-21-3. The matchup dates back to 1890 which makes it the oldest in Georgetown's history.
The Hoyas are coming off a tough loss to the Richmond Spiders last weekend. The team is hoping to finish the season on a high note and send the seniors out with one final victory.
Leading the team from under center this week will be sophomore quarterback Scott Darby (Tewksburry, Mass. / St. John's Prep). Darby is coming off back-to-back strong performances having thrown for a combined 411 yards and three touchdowns. On the back end of Darby's passes has been Lane, who shined the past two games with 13 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.
On the defensive side, junior linebacker Nick Parrish (Irving, Texas / Jesuit College Prep) leads both the team and the Patriot league in tackles with 98 on the season. Sophomore defensive end Andrew Schaetzke (Toledo, Ohio / St. John's Jesuit) leads the team and is fourth in the league with 5.5 sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss.
