Jeremiah Kayal and Wilburn Logan Named to Academic All-Patriot League Football Team

WASHINGTON - Senior wide receiver Jeremiah Kayal (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) and senior running back Wilburn Logan (Kingston, R.I./The Gunnery School) have been selected to the Academic All-Patriot League Football Team, when the honors were announced earlier in the week.
The Academic All-Patriot League Team is in its second season to honor additional student-athletes, who excel both on and off the field. The Football Academic All-Patriot League Team recognized 14 student-athletes, including Kayal and Logan, who must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player on his team.
Kayal, a team captain and two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection played in all 11 games, making five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown. In the classroom he majors in finance in the McDonough School of Business with a minor in theology, carrying a 3.295 grade point average. Kayal has also been involved in the Georgetown community, as the co-founder and President of the GU Fellowship for Christian Athletes, where he manages and structures weekly meetings and mentors younger student-athletes on campus. He spent his past summer interning in the Prime Brokerage Division at J.P. Morgan.
Logan had his best season on the field, rushing for an average of 5.1 yards per carry (58 carries, 295 yards) with a touchdown and five catches for 29 yards and a touchdown. In the classroom, the government major and sociology minor has continued to excel, carrying a 3.319 grade point average. Logan has twice during his career been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
